I very recently received a phone call from John Noble of Whitby to say that due to recent complaints of noise regarding the circuit that he had to go to court regarding the planning conditions on the venue and circuit. John went on to say that this court case resulted in him being restricted to 10 meeting per year and CJSC event took him over this quota. I researched this and found a recent article which I have attached below regarding the venue.
Chris Browning CJSC Chairman at the time booked the venue last year in good faith and all seemed ok until recently.
CJSC are extremely sorry for an inconvenience that we have to cancel this venue off of the clubs calendar this year but we hope you will see that this has been outside of our control. We understand that families have arranged holidays at this time and rest assured we have only just been made aware.
I have contacted 29 different venues to date and I am finding it very difficult to find an alternative venue due to many reasons most because they have reached their limit of events, venues are already booked on this date etc.
May I stress at this point that the decision of the MCF to rearrange a meeting which clashes with this date has had no bearing on this meeting whatsoever and the committee and determined to find an alternative venue. I have personally on behalf of the club contacted the MCF on Saturday morning with a written letter to co plain of their date swap and how it effects rider who compete both championships.
May I ask that you bear with us at this time whilst we sort out an alternative venue and we are almost certain not to change dates. As soon as we know of the alternative venue an announcement will be made.
